This was such a fun read! I read it out loud with my 9yo and I loved fantasising the dragons of my childhood (I mean the type of dragons I heard & read as a child which is quite different from the Western ones). I could totally identify with the mother (Chinese but can't speak or read Chinese etc) and I really enjoyed the dynamics with Harley (a mixed race child), his father (Caucasian & somewhat of a crim), and Qing! I cannot wait to hear what happens next!

Lucky me, I already have book 2 at home & we'll be starting TONIGHT! :D
