This book seemed to focus too much on Mark and Jamie's disastrous breakup rather than the developing relationship between Mark and Tony.

This was a 3.5 star story that I enjoyed via the audio version. This humorous story starts with Mark catching his cheating boyfriend and then turning to Tony, local cop and unrequited love-of-his-life, for help.

The narrator (Shannon Gunn) was excellent. The pacing was good and the story progressed at a good rate. His accents were brilliant, particularly Tony, so it was easy to differentiate the characters. The inflections and humour really came through in the narration. The sex scenes were also terrifically done.

All in all I would prefer to actually read a book than listen to it (I prefer my own imagination and read a lot faster) but for situations were this isn't possible, this audio version hits the mark

There were just a little too much for me to really enjoy this story. Too much drama, too much whining and way too little communication.
These men were supposed to be 30+, but they could just as well have been under 15 the way they behaved.

I think this would have been the perfect plot for a longer book, with more space for feels and meaningful conversations between Mark and Tony, but as it stands, it was still enjoyable enough.

This book was good and moved at a good pace. Just wish it was longer.

Another enjoyable Men of Smithfield book. I seem to have gotten the order wrong as there is no numbering on the audiobooks, but I have downloaded the rest of the series. Shannon Gunn does a great job on these books.

This novella covers a 3 day time period in which the reader learns a lot. What I really didn't care for was the abrupt ending, 3 days and done. I really wished this novella had an epilogue.

Hooked on this series so maybe should give another star... Okay 3.5
Very immersive and readable and the length feels just right. The suspense a little pro forma but necessary for our heroes to get past on the way to HEA.
