Slow start for me, but picked up in the second half. It’s almost like a Spiderwick for adults.

I don't think there was a single thing that I didn't appreciate about this book. The characters were so charming. The representation was great. This was a great cozy fantasy with a small-town setting. I loved the footnotes and the journal design. The world-building in this book was very magical.
