I didn’t agree with every point of view from the author. There were many things she wrote that just flat out didn’t sit right with me. But I still learned a lot and enjoyed hearing about different approaches and perspectives.

This will be a yearly read - very good parenting book, aligns with many of my beliefs.

Like most self help books the recommendations are not a surprise.  The main theme is if you don’t want to raise kids who are assholes, then make sure you aren’t one yourself.

I thought the book was well structured with question/problem  as each chapter with a summary of the solutions at the end. The writing style was engaging. The book does touch on some political themes that could be off putting to some readers.

I just felt like it wasnt adding value to things I already knew or have reference to but phrased in better ways. Read all the summaries, which are helpful and pretty clear, so I didn’t feel the need to finish reading all of the full chapters.
