Readable account of the events leading up to Cornwallis's surrender at Yorktown. Mr. Chidsey has a casual, almost folksy tone throughout that I sometimes found distracting - he called various actors "fools" and occasionally ascribed emotions or actions to people that really didn't have a factual basis, but they made the story more interesting.

The three maps that were included in the book were difficult to interpret and hard to read and understand. The keys didn't always accurately represent what was actually on the map.

Not dreadful, but there are better sources out there for a good overview of Yorktown.
