Really interesting concept. It's basically a series of short stories that are loosely connected by an overarching frame narrative. I found some of the stories more compelling than others but because of the nature of the book I didn't feel particularly connected or invested in the characters. The last couple of chapters did start introduce an interesting plot line and there was a twist towards the end that I did enjoy, but overall it was just fine to be honest.

This feels like much more than a series of individual short stories than these kinds of collections usually are, both because more care has gone into the framing and editing, and because differences in tone between writers is explained by different storytellers. I did not see the ending coming, and it has really stuck with me.

The narrative flowed smoothly and you never know multiple authors wrote it.
