The reveal was powerful, but all in all this was a rather sad plot. It did well in the unravelling, getting very muddied POVs from everyone and Marple managing to piece it together in the end.

Switched to audiobook part way through because my edition was an older one and had some 'of the time' lines that weren't even relevant to the story (a scene of a young couple having an argument and using the g-slur was in there randomly too. The characters didn't even appear again in the story!) Probably would have given it a higher rating if I hadn't watched the episode and known 'whodunnit' before starting it.
