it takes a certain reader to enjoy this. if you like a few drinks or know someone who does this may he up your alley. and since its a super quick read it makes for a funny gift, maybe with a bottle of someone's favourite alcohol to go with it.

This book is a series of one panel illustrations with witty sayings on them. How witty they are may depend on your frame of mind or how much you've been drinking. They sort of remind me of illustrations you might find on gift cards or posters to hang up.

The illustrations are digital and somewhat stick figure looking. The sayings are sarcastic and some border on boorishness or offensiveness. It's really an odd book. There may be someone who this book is for, but it wasn't me.

It might work as a gag gift or white elephant gift. It's an easy enough book to read, so the best thing to do if you find it, is thumb through a few pages. If you find yourself laughing out loud, then perhaps you've found your book. I didn't laugh out loud, so I'll keep looking.

I was given a review copy of this book by Andrews McMeel Publishing and Netgalley in exchange for a fair review. Thank you for letting me review this book.

This book is s a collection of sayings and quotes about drinking, liver, party guests, things like that with a conglomeration of drawings.

There were a few good ones, like:

"This is worth the hangover." ( I like this because I've said this before)

"Twtitter, Texting. Posting. Is anyone here, actually HERE?"

and I enjoyed the dedication "To my liver, keep up the good work champ."

I'm not sure what I think about this. book. If you can call it that. It is definitely one of those coffee table or bathroom books that I could find myself maybe only flipping through a couple of times. If that. I don't even think it is a book really to buy, maybe just browse through while waiting in line at Urban Outfitters. Maybe it would have been funnier if I had something other than tea in my cup.

I received this book on netgalley in exchange for an honest review

My brother would love this book and he doesn't like reading. What I mean is that this collection of one liners are one click away from memes and that's not great for a hardcover.

Meh. There were some funny ones in here but too often they felt like t-shirts for d-bags.

I think.
Therefore
I drink.

Man v. Liver is a collection of one liners, accompanying a drawing of said Man. Some of them were kind of funny but none of it was exceptionally witty. It didn't really like this as a book, though I think this might be good as a gag gift for the right person.
