When I first started reading the Ghost Trapper series, I couldn't wait for Ellie's confrontation with Anton Clay but it wasn't at all the showdown I expected it to be.
I am not a big fan or Michael and I really don't like Melissa, so having my much looked forward to confrontation dominated by characters I don't particularly like sort of ruined for me.
In the end, I was glad it was over and am looking forward to Ellie, Stacey, and Jacob returning to their regularly trapping.

I received Fire Demon before publication, and life took over so it took a while to get around to finishing Fire Devil, and then writing up my review.

I have loved the Ellie Jordan; Ghost Trapper, series from the beginning and I look forward to each new addition to the series. The previous book left us with a cliff hanger and I had to know what was going to happen next for Ellie, Michael, and the rest of the gang.

Ellie and Michael have now realised what has happened, are trying to find Melissa and stop Clay from doing more damage than he already has. Battered and bruised from their encounters with ghosts Ellie and Michael quickly lick their wounds and go on the hunt with the plan to meet up with Stacey and Jacob once they muster some help themselves.

I really enjoyed Fire devil, the different points of view, especially Clay, the journey that the gang take to find Melissa and stop Clay, and the detail and history that went into the book that makes it a perfect story to tell.

We got to see some strangers and learn of peoples past, as well as being on edge during some pretty tense scenes, wondering what was going to happen. I loved the progression of the story, but with the ending comes a lot of questions, mainly what’s going to happen next for Ellie and the gang.

No Ghost Trapper book would be complete without the humour, and Fire Devil definitely has that within the pages.
“This town has a lot to offer,” Jacob said. He was looking at his phone. “There's a racetrack...casino...oh, look! A farm with a hay maze—”
“No,” Stacey, Michael, and I interrupted, all at once.

This was dual perspective with our main character and the one ghost that’s been ruling her life for so long. We get some closure with one storyline that’s been around for a while and it was so good! I’m excited to get to the next one. Still love this series.

I'm glad we are done with this arc. It was wrapped up well, and satisfactorily.
