"A good interactive book for children. It teaches kids ways to be mindful and reminds us not to take life for granted and waste away." -Review from my 11 y.o. son
I also love how it dives into the 5 senses and teaches us to be present in the moment! And of course, Oswald's illustrations are so much fun! -me

Picture book. This book has the cutest, most playful dog in it.  The dog and its owner lead the reader through "being a dog."  Which means being present in the here and now, using your senses, feeling your feelings, and playing.  The dog's joy as it jumps through leaves and splashes in puddles is infectious.  A great story to introduce mindfulness, complete with wonderful cut paper illustrations.  I particularly loved the page about feelings:
Like a dog, feel what you're feeling: Bark if you're worried. Growl if you're angry. Yowl if you're sad. Sing if you're happy.

The tips in the back are the strongest part! I like the idea of being mindful like a dog, but I couldn't help but think of my dog biting me when he gets too excited..

Lovely way to talk about mindfulness using a dogs life.  Love the depth in the illustrations that is created by the collage.
