Terrific short story, to call this "fantasy" is very accurate. That carriage scene made me laugh OUT LOUD. I could see it coming but it was very well done. Especially what Bane recounted as they arrived at their destination- hilarious.
As always with a short story, a few things get blurry (like the encounter with King Harmon) but I skip by to the next parts. Great couple, amazing hero in Bane and fun dialogue. All kinds of murdery goodness :)

Okay totally in love with this book! I just saw this by chance on one thread of recommendations, and I did not even know the blurb of the story and just dived in blind. but mannn, this has the right amount of villainy twists, dark romance and fantasy. And the CARRIAGE ride will live in my mind rent free. ♥

A Quick and Sexy Read!
This was honestly a delightful novella. It was so spicy with a good amount of action and character development. I absolutely LOVE Bane and Echo as a couple.
This is my first read of Kati Wilde’s work, so I’m gonna check out some of her other stuff!
