This was a really interesting look at “normality” and fitting in. The neurodivergent perspective made me think about things in a way I don’t usually, and I really appreciated the skeptical look at amatonormativity as well.

for women who feel they have no place in the world.

never really met a character that is LITERALLY literally me, and not "literally me" in the sense of I wanna be them.

I wanted to read this book because I saw it in a TikTok about books for people who feel like they're different from other people. I was happy to see a character that I could understand, especially as a grocery store worker and as an autistic person (the main character isn't said to have autism, but a lot of what she does, says, and feels is really relatable). That being said, this book was OK. Nothing really happened, but I also get what the book is trying to say.
