I loved the first half of the book and stories within, but once you hit the second half the author is self-complimenting himself at every turn which leaves a distaste following.

I didn't necessarily learn anything groundbreaking from this, but I learned that I really like Murakami's voice (at least in non-fiction) and have added his fiction to my TBR.
