I think I like the concept of a street-level JLA for the people better than this execution. Shades of the original Outsiders from the 80's.

The Extremists want world peace by any means necessary, but it kind of reminds me of the motivations of Max Lord in JL vs. Suicide arch.

The book is fine but Batman says twice he’s trying to put together a team of humans, not gods. A team regular people can relate to. A team of mortals, he says! And then recruits Lobo, who is literally an invincible alien. That bit was inadvertently hilarious.

Eh...! Just OK,I guess. Absolutely love the artworks, but the main storyline of The Extremists left me with several questions remain unanswered. Will it be answered gradually in the next volumes?

I was all like, "The Extremists! From Justice League in the late '80s! I'm down!" And then I was like, "Wow. did they always suck, or is it just the writing?".

I'm gonna go with the writing.
