I loved Lift in Words of Radiance and wanted to know more about her. I was so excited when I picked up Edgedancer and found out it was about her. This book provides a lot of character development for Lift. I really liked watching her struggle to figure out who she is. I can’t wait to see more of her.

Seems like the Internet hates Lift, but I'm a fan. Definitely feels like Sanderson is tipping his hat to Terry Pratchett with this character. This novella did a lot of heavy lifting for the overarching storm light story, whereas the other books just give to scraps every so often. It really starts heading through the door that Words of Radiance opened.

Lift rocks:)

Lift and Wyndle are both really great characters. Can't wait to see Brandon Sanderson incorporate them into the bigger picture of the Cosmere

good context for the grander narrative, annoying character (so far).
