I continued to love the Renaissance Faire setting in this book swell, it is so much fun and so unique. Overall this was a really fast and fun read. The relationships are so cute and go so well together, they are easy to fall into and become attached to. Love all of the characters!

I didn’t love this one as much as the first. I think because the basis of their relationship was through email, I felt some distance from the characters. The one thing that kept me going was the author’s charming writing style and relating to Stacey.

This was cute. Is it the best book ever? Probably not. But I had a good time reading it and that’s the important thing.

Stacey was very relatable to me and honestly a lot more realistic—scenery not included—than most FMCs. She was a bit stuck in a rut, a bit awkward, lived a really normal existence, didn’t have a completely perfect body, was scared to take a step out of her comfort zone, and masked quite a bit of herself socially. Her initial letter to Dex was so cringe to me and it was hard to read, but it led to a good place so I guess it was worth it.

Daniel was precious and I adored him. He is not a typical MMC either. He was super insecure and truthfully didn’t do much to pursue Stacey. It was kind of all on her. She seemed to be fine with that, and it worked out. I digress. I just love a normal guy that isn’t depicted to be 6’4” with a 20 pack and a 12” peen. What can I say? Normal does something for me.

I LOVED all the time we got to see Simon and Emily. I would seriously take another book with just them. I love all the other side characters and the renaissance faire life. This book was just fun.

My biggest complaint is that the story lacked a lot of Daniel. I’m so hooked on dual POVs that it’s kind of a struggle going down to one. But still, the story 90% revolved around Stacey, independently. That number seems high to me for a romance novel. I wanted more of Daniel and more of the two of them together. It was still enjoyable, but it knocked the book down a few pegs for me.

I can’t wait to read about Mitch and April. I love both of their characters and they have so much potential. Hopefully it’s the best one yet!
