This was the worst book in this series for now. By God, can we just drop all the horrendous bad drama for once?

I really had to push myself to read this book, I wanted to give up every time, but I kept pushing myself, hoping that Sasha wouldn't do the stupid things I was thinking she would do. Sadly, she does. And yes, this isn't only her fault, it is also Jacob's, but if she had just been honest, had talked to someone? Maybe even to her boyfriend, I am sure it wouldn't have gone all drama-hell as it went in this one.

Sasha kept lying in this book, and I just knew that this would blow in her face, and it did. On one hand I am satisfied that she got what she deserved, on the other hand, I felt sorry for her. If only she had talked.
Not only did it mess up the book with the daily stuff, it also messed up her riding. I love those parts about riding, and then she can't even ride because she keeps thinking about all the drama-fest happening? URGHHHHHHH.
And I hated how she acted around Eric, she has the most amazing, sweet, wonderful guy and she does all this? What is wrong with you girl?

Jacob, urgh, don't even get me started on this disgusting human being who should just have shut up. But noooo, he had to ruin it all. I hate Jacob, didn't like his attitude in the other books, but in this one? He was just 1000x times worse.

I felt sorry for Callie, for Eric, for Paige.

Even Heather was pretty decent in this book, she even offered to help Sasha, and I found that really sweet. Too bad Sasha never took Heather's offer.

The ending? What the hell was going on there? I just wanted to smack Sasha with something hard. She deserved that. I don't care that she is all confused and poop, this girl definitely got a huge problem.

I remember when I was a little kid Sasha irked me so much in this book. Safe to say she still does.

This one is not my favorite. First off, Sasha lies like hell. Second, I hate Callie. She's been a bitch sine like book 3. She and Sasha have so many rips in their friendship that they aren't recovered by where I'm at now, on the last book (12) and they probably will only ever some to a truce. And thirdly, I just don't like Callie. It bears repeating. She's an unreasonable character.

I love how effortless it is to read these books. They all flow together and you don’t have to think while you read them, you just keep flipping pages until all of a sudden, you’re done with the book.

2020 Reread
I remembered how the end of this book went down however, Sasha and Jacob were driving me CRAZY in this book. It made me so angry that Sasha thought she could save everything by not being honest with literally everyone. Jacob actually made me even angrier than Sasha though, because he was
Spoiler openly saying that he still had feelings for Sasha but he continued his relationship with Callie. WHY? It would have been much less messy if he had broken up with her right away (like, even back before the summer).
I hated Jasmine for sticking her nose in everyone's business, but hey, at least she calls people out and makes things interesting.

Ah. Going through all my past ratings on certain books makes me laugh but also cry inside from my lack of taste. However, my original opinion of this book still stands, and at least I was smart enough to have always rated this a 2 stars. Mostly for the nostalgia and memories. I went through a horses phase in elementary school, and I had a birthday cake with a horse on it because I liked this series so much. That was before I got to this book though. I'm surprised I'm able to remember most of the plot and events still. I can't remember when I donated these books away because I don't have them anymore.

This was the book where everything started going downhill for me. Seriously, it's like watching a really bad train wreck. Sasha tells lies upon lies upon lies. I feel so bad for Callie, Paige, and Eric. Sasha has a kind, sweet, romantic boyfriend and she ruins that by eventually getting with Jacob, my least favorite character in this entire series. WHY?!?! I honestly can't believe I read the other books that came after this one. My patience as a child was astounding.

I'm sorry Eric. Paige. Callie. I wish Sasha wasn't a complete idiot. This Sasha is not the original Sasha I loved and cared about from the first couple of books.
