Classic Binchy. Found myself a little frustrated at everything being tied up so neatly at the end, but what else can you expect :-D

Not really my thing, unfortunately. I did really like the characters and the dialogue, but I wanted more depth and detail in the settings.

Not at all what I expected. A collection of short character sketches, really, united by some common threads and stories. It was cute, and a quick, lightly enjoyable read, but falls into the "somewhat bizarre" category with some strange social quirks and totally odd interpersonal relationships. Definitely light, and pretty much feel-good.

This is pretty typical Maeve Binchey. She is a great story teller, even if many of her story lines are repetitive in all of her work. This was a fun, light read. Perfect to read on my plane ride home from San Francisco.

I would really like to give this 3.5 stars. It's not bad writing, and the characters are sympathetic, it's by far not the best Maeve Binchy. It seems to me that since she "retired" in the late '90s her books have lost some of their "spark."
