Everyone has their go-to comfort read, right? I like CJ Pinard. Well, I like her supernatural cops. It's fun and light and different. And when I've been struggling with reads...it's nice to know she has something easy and entertaining for me.

I can't say that I enjoyed this book at all. It did explain the world as you went through it. But switched between present and past. I also didn't really care about any of the characters.

It was different. I give this book credit for originality, but that is where the praises end. The writing isn't terrible, but it isn't great either. The story also jumps around a bit too much, to the point where you get confused a bit as to what time period it is. So yeah, this book was okay.
