As someone who has spent a lot of time pining over a boy that wasn’t always worth it, I thought maybe this might be something refreshing to read. I might try finish it in the future, but based on the chapter titles, nothing she talks about is significantly different to what I’ve already read or heard before. Definitely a good read for a confident boost and reminder

This book was a blessing. Great for people who are not particularly interested in heavy reading. Great illustrations, and sayings/teachings that any woman can use. I loved the style of writing as it was not complicated and the main idea of loving yourself and getting to know yourself was refreshing. This is not a book that helps you get over a boy alone. It helps you navigate this cruel world with surprising truths that if you come from dysfunction you will be one step closer to finding that complete human being you always longed for in yourself. Chidera Eggerue is a breath of fresh air who gives it to you raw and unfiltered. She is what women of this generation and generation before and those that come after need. Please do yourself a favor even if your not getting over a boy and read this book!

I wish I had books like this to read when I was younger and less self-assured. Nothing new or revolutionary in here, just a nice consolidation of key learning around body positivity, attachment styles, etc.

Did it ultimately tell me how to get over a boy? No. Had some wise words though.

I really hated What a Time to be Alone but this was so much better and I'm glad I didnt let What a Time put me off from trying more of her books. I think I'm older than the target audience of this book but it's an interesting read and whilst some parts I didn't agree with it is a good book. I wish I'd read this book in my early twenties, maybe then I wouldn't have had so many bad relationships :')
