The plot twists and turns kept me guessing and confused (in a good way). I love a good unreliable narrator. However,
the use of DID as a plot device for horror feels tired and overdone, and a bit insince
. D's storyline felt forced sometimes. Not my favorite book, but interesting enough to give it a solid halfway rating.

It’s difficult to write a review of The House on Needless Street without giving anything away. What I can tell you is that it’s different, and it is not standard horror or thriller writing. You may evaluate relationships in a new way, and if it seems puzzling, you are right, it is. Keep reading and Catriona Ward brings all those the pieces together brilliantly.
