I have mixed feelings on this book, in many ways it really worked for me but in other areas i hated it so much.

The mcs were both enjoyable on their own and i enjoyed their first few interactions, but i just didn't feel they were compatible at all despite their chemistry at the start. Cody got frustrating quickly and i started to get bored of him, if i were Dalton i would have gave up on him.

I feel Cody only looked to relationship due to pressure from the other couples in his life, constantly telling him how good monogamy is and that he should try it.

He seemed happy in his life and situation, literally every time he thought of relationship with Dalton he used the other relatiomshios as reasons for him to go for it but in the negative was that he wouldn't be himself/that Dalton would change him. Which just annoyed me constantly as he abandons and ignores Dalton so many times throughout, just hot and cold constantly messing with his head.

Dalton i adored from start to finish, he was too sweet and had put up with enough rubbish from cowboys/being a secret. He didn't want that anymore or flings, he was looking for more and was honest about from the start. I really enjoyed learning about him and the animals are adorable!

But yeah i don't think Cody deserved him after all the drama and light angst, i just didn't care for their romance by the end. Although will admit to enjoying the roping scene, roleplay and that first date for coffee which was so sweet. I just think long term they didn't fit.

Overall an easy, lighthearted and fun read with a happy ending. Somethings just didn't work for me. Xx
