I thought this story was super cute. It dealt with a couple real issues but kept it light. I’m happy to say that I own a copy of this book and I would read it again. It had very little sex in it but the connection between the two leads are solid!

I love how this boo highlights being a person of integrity. Amazing! Clean secular fiction with a great message.

A really cute book. I loved how the chemistry was played out between the two characters. I would really recommend this book.

I enjoyed these two characters and watching them hang out and get to know each other. They both had enough of a backstory and personality to make it interesting.

My issue revolved around the fact that it became a bit repetitive. In the beginning as they got to know each other, I enjoyed it a lot. He plays football for her father. He can’t date because it’s against the rules. She was tutoring him… he was helping her get the attention of her crush WHO’s dating the mean girl… all fine until it just kind of kept repeating the same things over and over again. They start to fall for each other (shocker)… but they can’t date… so they’ll hang out as friends… but it’s so hard because they like each other… but they can’t date…. so they hang out as “friends”… again and again. The whole “no dating” rule was weird and overbearing in the first place, but it also just wasn’t a significant enough conflict to carry an entire book. It had potential though and it was nice having a football romance without steam.

Sweet. Funny. A little heartbreaking.
Basically a romance book version of Last Chance U.
Lots of slow buildup then the last couple of chapters went fast. Really fast.
