This is a very exciting book. It introduces you to a very unusual character, but who you like almost immediately. Accused of a crime he didn't commit and being sent to death row, his life takes a dramatic turn. It is like reading a Mission Impossible script, twists and turns, interesting gadgets that you can believe are real, great characters, and exciting assignments. I couldn't wait to see what came next and how any problems were solved. Can't wait to read the next one.

This is a ridiculous and poorly written book. The plot isn’t even vaguely believable and the ability to make this into a 250+ page book was because of how often backstory and information was repeated to characters. Also, the author uses very demeaning descriptions of full figured women. I was hoping to like the series and have some entertainment, but I just can’t care enough to read the second book. The characters and story line were so bad.

It could have been better. I like the premise, but the writing left a lot to be desired. The same information repeated several times got old and the writing seemed wooden; amateurish.

I wanted to like this book more. On the surface the premise is classic Le Femme Nikita, ex Special Forces operator without the capacity for emotions gets sentenced to death unjustly. He is then rescued by a black ops government agency in order to become their next assassin. He’s given a new team—a tech guy, a brawler, and a wheelwoman—and handed his first mission. It’s the A-Team mixed with Dexter.

The trouble is the writing itself. It’s woefully mediocre and often focuses down on mundane details while not selling what little action scenes there are. The characters are okay, but none of them are giving all that much to do aside from Noah. It’s like he’s given the team from Ocean’s Eleven, but then tells them that it’s okay, he’s got this. He then basically completes 90% of the mission That’s not only bad plotting; that’s boring as hell too.

Sarah, the cars gal, especially is left with nothing but chauffeuring him around. There isn’t one car chase, one extended sequence where they have to tail someone, or even a chance to put her expertise to use by identifying a vehicle or getting to pick out transportation. At least Neil and Moose, the other members of the team, get to earn their paycheck.

I had hoped to get into the series but the first books was all just so inane that it’s left a bad taste in my mouth. The writing just isn’t there.

Tough to finish. A lot of repetition that didn't need to be. It took forever to get from induction to the mission and all they did was eat dinners. The ending was lackluster at best.

A solid start of a series. Noah Foster is an Army Sergeant over in the sandbox when he witnesses his commanding officer and others murder and rape innocent underage civilians. When his commanding officer and platoon members try and kill him for not participating he responds with deadly force and eliminates them files his incident report. He faces a court martial and is imprisoned for murder and is swiftly sentenced to death. A visitor provides him with a way out. Noah possesses a rare form of PTSD from childhood that makes him an ultimate soldier. He's emotionless and without a conscience other than those he imposes on himself, possesses a photographic memory, & is used to being a wolf in human's clothing. Perfect candidate for a secret agency that recruits him as an assassin. Well written & can't wait to read the next in series

Enjoyable but writing needs polishing in places. A good editor could make all the difference
