I liked Pearson's Adoration of Jenna Fox ok (at least I liked the idea of it,) but Scribbler was not my favorite. The main character is pretty cardboard and the author doesn't develop the romance very well at all. We don't see the chemistry between them at all. Overall it was meh.

Classic modernized Romeo and Juliet--actually more parallels with the Hatfields and McCoys, a great book, a great take, and a really good set of questions for teens on what they would give up for first love--and what they're willing to forget about the things their families teach them.

I was cleaning out my shelves to donate books and decided to reread this, a book I remembered loving in middle school, before putting it in the donation pile. And wow, what an absolutely bonkers plot.

i randomly picked this book off the shelf. it's filled with passion, regret, hatred, and love. you can sometimes relate to it. it's the best book i've read this whole summer!

Re-read. I absolutely ate this up in the seventh grade. 3 stars for that and the nostalgia. However, it would tragically be a 1 star if I read it for the first time today.
