Disappointing and confusing. My unfamiliarity with the political history of the world in the early 1920’s didn’t help. Much time is spent on a voyage to France and back to England which has no bearing on the plot. This one did not hold my interest and the reveal was slightly ridiculous. I understand why Hastings was completely in the dark on this one.

Hercule Poirot and Inspector Japp get together to solve the mystery of the Prime Minister. Poirot learns that the Prime Minister is shot, and later hears that it was not fatal, but he has been kidnapped. Putting his grey cells together with Inspector Japp he tries to solve the mystery and locate the Prime Minister before it's too late.

I like the mysteries without the murder. It's good to know that Poirot isn't just surrounded by dead bodies, he's trying to stop there be murder too! In this case it's the Prime Minister of England and as usual Poirot has it in hand.

Poirot and Japp have chemistry together. Japp holds a certain reverence for Poirot and his detective skills and of course Poirot in his own conceited way loves this. Together they made for a fun mystery and I enjoyed this one.

I listened on audio and I'm sure everyone is sick of me saying this but I love listening to Hugh Fraser and David Suchet together. I'm looking forward to listening to more of these short stories on audio.

A mystery by the master of Golden Age Detective fiction. The Prime Minister is kidnapped on the eve of a very important conference. Approached by the government, Poirot has 24 hours to locate him and get him to the conference. Christie fans will not be disappointed.

Mais uma pequena narrativa que nos mostra como funciona a massa cinzenta do mais famoso detetive da Agatha Christie. Muito bom.
