Reading No Budu Please was challenging but engaging. It was great to see a Garifuna artist get their work out. I also appreciated that it's a trilingual book. There's an English translation and then there are the poems in their original form in Spanish. There were some words in Garifuna that I didn't recognize as well as some that I did. I need to learn more about the language and my roots. This is the first chapbook of international poetry that I've read. Up until now my exposure to poetry collections has been very US-centric.
