i thought dani and zaf have SUCH good chemistry. i honestly was going to rate this lower until i got through 70% of the book; it's good, and funny, but it was starting to get a little ridiculously horny hahaha. talia hibbert really delivered on this one!

This was such a good read! Danika Brown was a force to be reckoned with. She did not do relationships, just sexy hookups. That is until she meets Zafir. They do a little light flirting until they are thrust into the viral life when a video they are caught in, takes off online. They decide to use the new fame to boost eyes on his business and create a fake relationship.

The feelings start to grow and they decided to become friends with benefits. With an expiration date looming for this deal they made, we just have to sit back and wait for them to realize that this "fake" relationship may be more real than they think.

I really liked this story. It had some comedy and really brought you into the characters personalities. I have one more in this series that I need to finish!

3.5 rated up because despite my problems with this book, it was still significantly more entertaining than the first novel.

The first half of this was so good and so fun, but the second half felt repetitive and kinda dragged on.

This might be a nitpick, but I'm not sure why the author went out of her way to make Zaf Pakistani Muslim if his culture and religion weren't really ever going to be addressed? Like, other than references to some food and calling his brother "Bhai" (but doesn't call his SIL "bhabhi"?) there isn't much. Way more focus and detail is put into Dani being a witch than Zaf being Muslim. (And with two religions so distinctly different, you'd think they'd have a conversation about it? But no.) It almost felt like I was being baited with Pakistani Muslim rep because it didn't really come across as anything other than the author wanting some diversity points. Zaf could have easily been any generic man of color and nothing would have really changed.

Also, the trope of the bisexual who can't emotionally commit until they have the love of a good monosexual is kind of tired and old.
