A shark and a train both try to figure out who would win in a fight.
A silly story that would be great for storytime (ages 4-5) or one-on-one read-aloud.
Storytime:
Underwater Animals
Trains

This fabulously illustrated story feeds on the imaginations of children as they amuse themselves with the game of "pretend." As Shark and Train face off, readers are able to climb into those imaginations and face uncertain circumstances with horror and humor. When the kids finish reading this action adventure, they will keep asking for more!

Cute! I loved the illustrations, they seemed to tell more of the story than the words.

My son's elementary school librarian read this book to the class. My son liked it so much we had to to the library and check it out. He liked to count how many times train won versus shark and he liked learning that sometimes people win and sometimes they lose -- and sometimes there is no clear winner.

Who would win in a shark vs. train battle? The book says it depends. Where are they? Under water or on the tracks? What's the challenge? Selling lemonade or eating pies? What if it's something neither of them are good at?
This is a great book to share with groups. It's funny and has a lot of opportunities for audience partipation.

Anyone who can work a "jump the shark" joke and a separate Fonzie reference into a children's picture book gets five stars automatically. Funny with great illustrations.
