Well-written. Explores themes of generational trauma, including racism, and how that manifests in different ways at different times. This book also delves into each character's motivations for actions and how we're all just doing our best in the moment - but it also shows the importance of communication: something we do with good intent can come across as hurtful (or be hurtful). I feel like future re-reads of this book will be beneficial for further thoughts and analysis of the themes
