This installment was…eh. Not good, not bad. Hence three stars. BTW, how many Jason Bournes are there?

Cain is back and so is Abel. The Bourne Defiance by Brian Freeman is probably the best one yet in this series. So many problems to solve and who can you trust? In this book we get Bourne, Nova, Lennon and Abbey. We also get some presidential candidates and some shady Iranians. Well I found the book well written as one usually does when Freeman is behind the pen. Although the age thing is still bothering me it is a great addition to the Bourne universe. I have to thank G.P. Putnam's Sons Penguin Random house and Edelweiss for letting me read this advance copy.

I’m giving it a 4 star coz it reads like a movie script and I can picture everything in my head. It wasn’t too technical, and the plot was still interesting. The only thing that annoys me is multiple sentences like “hide in plain sight. Treadstone.” The word Treadstone kept coming up and it’s so silly like a DJ Khalid rap song, “Always come prepared. Treadstone.” >D<

The Bourne Defiance is the 18th book in the Jason Bourne series and follows Jason Bourne while he figures out who is trying to murder him and several other Treadstone agents. It all centers around a past mission called Defiance and who in the US government is behind this. The book is a page turner. It’s fast paced with enough action and suspense to keep you wondering what happens next. I could not put it down. Looking forward to reading more this author.
