This was a fun, light memoir and the audiobook narration was great. Lauren’s personality shines through and I gobbled it down. However, I was mildly disappointed by the lack of depth and reflection. This was miles better than Bossypants, which was all jokes and zero depth, but I wish there had been more in the way of lessons learned as opposed to observation and narration of her life.

Her voice brings a nostalgia from my childhood of a mother-daughter tv show I watched religiously every day. This book brings you closer to her life between Gilmore girls to Gilmore girls. Not to mention, if you listen to the audiobook, Lauren Graham does not fail to bring her own wicked sense of humor while talking as fast as she can.

I thought this book was going to centre more around Gilmore girls, it’s only two chapters. I also found the way she writes starts to become annoying throughout the book. Also one chapter felt like a sales pitch for her other books. A cute read if you care about Lauren grahams life but if you’re coming for gg content there’s not much

This was as charming and funny a read as I expected it to be. I especially enjoyed the note from Old Lady Jackson.

Not going to lie but I expected more from this. I loved Lauren Graham in Gilmore Girls and thought this book gave more info on her time during the show. I also heard good things about it mainly when Lauren narrates the book. I did try the audiobook but needed to stop since I seemed to read faster than she recounts.
The parts in this book about Gilmore Girls were actually quite short. She seemed to really zoom through stuff about her life but have long tangents about random topics such as fashion trends and celebrity diets (although to be fair they were funny).
I did like that she kept the wit and humor of who she is that she brought to the character of Lorelei within the book.
