I'm usually all for graphic novel adaptations, but I felt like this one didn't quite work out. While I the style of the artwork was a good fit, the images were too dark and their order often confusing. I'm really curious about the novel now, though! I feel like a lot of the story just got lost in translation, so to speak.

The book it's based on is so much better! But the drawings were pretty, though at times too dark to understand what I was seeing. 2.5/5 stars
