It was really good. It was slow to start but then it got really good. Can't wait to read the next one.

I’m loving this series. Paolini is one of the best young writers of our time.

Almost a full 5 stars. The ending felt rushed, and the story ark resembled the first book quite closely.

Looking forward to number 3.

Once again, the author has an incredible sense of world building. The storyline was riveting and kept me invested. My only critique is how long the book was.

It's better than the first book, but still slow paced. I did enjoy looking at the story from another perspective. Eragon's training felt like reading through a shounen manga's training arc but longer and slower. Roran's perspective was nice to read since it shows what happened after Eragon left the village. Roran's actions had a lot more brevity since he faced a lot more consequences for his actions than Eragon. Nasuada's perspective was interesting to read to and I wish there was more of her chapters.
