Overall I really enjoyed this, some parts felt slow at times but the plot twists really held my attention in the end.

The plot itself is VERY good and I will ABSOLUTELY be finishing the trilogy. However, I don’t love the author’s writing style and I wish she had spent more time developing the world and magic system. There were also quite a few moments I found myself wishing she had hinted at something rather than outright telling us and there were a few repetitive statements that simply did not need to be repeated.

Definitely worth the read, but maybe with lower expectations than you currently have.

I liked this, very entertaining for a YA fantasy. I’ll finish this series.

Some of the best fantastical and lyrical writing I’ve experienced. An enchanting story. Also, this is me consenting to let Julian do anything to me

A mysterious game that makes you question everything, secrets and magic at every turn, and love and heartbreak all with in a five night stay at Caraval.

An intriguing and fun read.

This book is a beautiful whirlwind that kept me on my toes the entire time, and was quite literally, unpredictable ⏳✨
