Until the very end, when I reached the part about the waterfall, I pictured Malik totally differently. I wish they would not have put the kids on the cover.

I wonder what time period this is set in? Tracking seems possible.

A good follow up to book one with a cliffhanger ending! Whoa. So many surprises in this one.

A solid book 2! I definitely recommend this series for middle age students. It keeps you guessing at every turn.

It was an interesting and well told story, with decent character development. My biggest complaint is the amount of stock given to the idea that DNA would determine how innately good one is at crime. So much is assigned to DNA (love for brownies, selfishness, etc). I can suspend disbelief about inexperienced, sheltered kids being able to escape police and spring people from prison, but don't try to sell me the idea that identical DNA results in identical people! Just look at twins! I thought the first book was very well done, but the second book was much more "out there" in terms of believeability.
