Radium Girls is a well written account following several thoughts including the development of workplace and industrial regulations, personal battles of justice over corporate evils, and the introduction to all those women who championed the cause through their pain, disfigurements and deaths. They are aptly portrayed as heroes who are transcending time. I was struck by their courage and dedication, and their desire to see things right. I felt their frustration during the appeals and their pain as their disease progressed. This account is another monument in their memory.

It is sad what these women had to go through, and even sadder that it took a man dying to make even this slightest impact.

I stopped reading when the author referred to one of the character's physical features as "tidy limbs." She wrote this; it was not quoted. I managed to slog through 53 pages.
