I had the privilege of beta-reading this last summer, and it was beyond spectacular! Getting to return to the story in its polished state made me fall in love all over again!

This series is a comfort read for me. They’re books I call “home.” They’re an action-packed, nonstop adventure, while also being full of so much hope & heart & truth. Even though I knew what would happen, several times I still found myself in tears.

This book reads like an Indiana Jones movie. Action, secrets, treasures, fossils, bad guys in cars, bad guys in boats, bad guys on bikes, bad guys in a helicopter, more action...friends, family, ghosts from the past. I love it!

I really enjoyed getting to know the Jailbirds better and to learn something of their pasts. I loved the new member of the gang and I'm so glad that Reid got a POV. I did feel like there was a change in the tone of the book (compared to the first book) which made it a little harder to get into the story at first. It felt a little disconnected from Book 1 (again, not the story itself, just the tone of the writing). All in all still a great story full of heart and adventure.

I had the absolute privilege of being on the beta team for Titan! This book is a sequel to Brian’s Hardy-Boys- meets-Indiana-Jones-adventure novel, Mammoth, which follows the Jailbirds- a band of misfit friends turned family as they uncover the secrets that lurk beneath the surface of their small pacific northwest town.
