So enthralling and absolutely entertaining was this book that I have read it 4 times in the past year! I'm one for trying NEW books often but I read this whole series and thoroughly enjoyed it! :)

This is the first book that I've read by Betsy Brannon Green. It was okay. I'm giving it 3 stars because the ending had somewhat of a twist. My problem with this is that I really had to suspend reality in this series. The main character Kennedy is an immature 20 something who is somehow allowed to participate in a murder investigation. I just couldn't believe this. Maybe in a small town in the South does this work, but I'd like to think they are a little more savvy than that. Not only that, but Kennedy's emotions are all over the place. She loves about three different guys in this including her ex-husband. Her mother and father are totally cliché. The mystery is interesting, but because the investigation was so unbelievable and the characters so unlikeable, I just don't know if I'd pick up another by this author.

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook -- it was fun to see some characters from the Haggerty mystery series too. I thought I had the "bad guy" figured out, but I was wrong!
