What did I just read ?!?!?!?!?!???

Synopsis: Its about three main characters: One lost her mother and sees her ghost and is love with her best friend. The best friend has her mother as a monster tied and locked in the basement. A man who walks his dog and sees a headless ghost.

The book starts off as three different stories but they do meet at different intersecting points a couple of times in the book and ultimately meshes together. It's marked as a horror book but there is nothing scary about it. It was eerie and dark in some places. Mainly it's characters are all psychologically damaged and stricken with grief with some supernatural elements like monster/zombie that needs live things as food. The story just didn't make sense to me. It's such a short book I thought it'll be a quick read but it was just so boring that I should've dnf'd it. The only reason I finished it is because it's only 168 pages long.

I loved this book and the characters. I thought it was beautifully written, I couldn’t put it down. However, the thing that really destroyed this for me was
the dog dying. I know they got their happy ending but I just really hated it and I felt it was unnecessary in my opinion
it made me just want to put the book down.

Weird, wild, and wonderful! This bizarre little morsel satisfies that taste for the surreal... and the ending is just too heart-warming for words :')

This book is bonkers. This book is *bananas*. WTF did I just read? The dark humor bites as savagely as some of the creatures in the tale, surprised laughs out of me when I least expected. This wild fever dream somehow manages to also be a solemn meditation on the relationships between mothers and their daughters, loss, and grief. And it's creepy af. This is a weird, little (only 165 pages!), horror/comedy story that doesn't give a hoot about pulling punches and sparing your sensibilities-- the squeamish should read something else. Seriously. But if you're brave enough to give this a go, it's totally worth it. (And keep an eye out for Easter eggs.)
