This is a fun, easy, uplifting book, with a familiar story and a great message.

Kind of an interesting take on Cinderella in a round about way.

I collect CInderella stories. I enjoyed this one. It was the first "new" version I had read, so it was graded pretty high at the time. Now, I have read better ones.

I thought the plot was pretty good, good enough that I liked the book fairly well. However, the constant changing of viewpoints was distracting, and I though there were way too many characters that were supposed to change and grow, and that we had to care about. This could have been pulled off brilliantly, but it needed to be longer. Too much telling, not enough showing.

I really liked this book. I try to preview most books before my daughter gets ahold of them, and this one I found entertaining and an easy read.

This book wasn't quite as great as I remembered it, honestly. But it gets a lot of nostalgia points. I would say it would be a great read for younger kids, but for those of us who are older, and are more picky of our fairytale fantasies, it leaves a little to be desired. It is a very good for as quick of a read as it is. One could finish it in a couple hours.

Three and a calf cows.

A short Cinderella story. My e-Reader copy was under 300 pages which always triggers a feeling of novella for me. The author could have easily written this to be more detailed and complex, especially the last few chapters adventure, to make it feel like a more complete novel. I wouldn’t say this was juvenile lit or young adult, because the language is a bit more complex, formal than what I’m used to in those genres, but perhaps it would be shelved in young adult at a library because of the topic.

Possibly my favorite Cinderella plot line, with good perspectives from all characters and a different feminist take.

Sweet Cinderella re-imagining, but not particularly complex. Finished it in a few hours.
