"The Day of the Troll" - The best children's stories are the scary ones and this story taps into those cautionary tales. It also looks at the nature of cowardice and bravery and how the bravest people can be those who are most afraid. The Doctor also assesses why he always gets caught up in these things - curiosity is his weakness.
"The Last Voyage" - Dr Who at his most traditional with mysterious disappearances linked to infiltrating aliens from another dimension. There's plenty of scope for the Doctor to demonstrate his scientific know-how and his knowledge of the future. It also features an intriguing reference to the Doctor's name as well as a rather tried 'Doctor Who?' joke.
"Dead Air" - Particularly creepy. This audio story is supposedly a genuine broadcast and thus sounds more real. Dare you listen to the end? It's also a good idea for an audio story since the monster featured is sound - the Hush. There's also a poignant link as the creature was created by the Time Lords in the Time War, hence the Doctor's concern in tracking it.
