I was privileged to get an ARC of Kindle The Flame, and thoroughly enjoyed it, even though fantasy is not my usual genre to read. Ms. Shoemaker has built an elaborate world both familiar (in terms of including well-known types of creatures) and new (the manner in which she constructs her take around them). I loved her vivid descriptions and her inventiveness with types of dragons, and how she interwove the stories of the four main characters. Also, the romance writer in me admittedly swooned over Aidan. A fun story suitable for young adult readers - I call it Game of Thrones for teens!
