This was a very fun graphic novel. Even though I don’t know shit about hockey, I really enjoyed the book and learned a lot about the sport. Also, I really liked the team dynamics that this book had. Overall not my favorite graphic novel but still very good.

THIS BOOK IS SO CUTE!! As massive fan of queer ya the synopsis of ‘a gay ex-figure skater collage kid who joins his schools hockey and is absolutely obsessed with baking’ instantly excited me!!

I’ve never been a comic or graphic novel reader but this is perfect for comic veterans and newbies alike! The art is great and the storyline is adorable! Despite focusing on a bunch of dude bros there is no toxic masculinity in sight, the team has a great relationship and really shows that boys can be sensitive and loving regardless of their sexual orientation!!

I particularly loved how swoon worthy face, he has a fantastic love interest smoulder which you just know Bitty is going to fall for!!

I definitely recommend this to any fans of fluffy cute queer lit! It’s not overly romantic nor is it for sports fans only. So don’t let the Hockey topic turn you off, I know nothing about Hockey and barely care about sport in general!

I can’t wait for volume 2!

A pretty cute, often funny graphic novel told in a vlog-ish format that was actually quite clever. The main character, Bitty, is a total sweetheart and I really loved him. I always personally relate to characters who like baking, so he was an extra enjoyable person. Some of the side characters were kinda fun, although a few felt underdeveloped. Also on a personal note, I am in no way whatsoever a sports person, and that meant a LOT of the hockey talk went right over my head. It was actually pretty boring to read about the game positions/strategies/wins/etc just because I have no interest or knowledge of any of it. I also wish the romance had more OOMPH to it. Things picked up near the end but I didn't really feel much ZING to the relationship for a lot of the book.
I might keep reading the series when Book #2 comes out? I'm undecided right now, but it you love college sports, frat life, and simple romance, this could be something for you to read!

3.5? Idk it's cute and silly. That's really all I gotta say. Good pastime. I don't really see how the characters started to fall for each other though. Yes they spend time together, but they practice, they don't talk all that much, I don't see them falling in love. The ending kinda came out of nowhere like where we're Jack's feelings this whole book?

This was super adorable and I really enjoyed it. I do wish the story moved a long a little smoother, but I'm aware it was originally a webcomic and the format is fitting to that. I loved the tweet aspect and almost wished that it was sprinkled in with the story instead of included at the end. I think reading it with the tweets sprinkled in would have made for a smoother story telling experience.

Overall I enjoyed it and hope to read the second book eventually.
