I really liked this.

I’m not going to lie, it was a challenge for me to read (somewhat of) a love triangle story, because I never liked love triangles (and never will).

But it was so rewarding though at the end, because Tiny and Joey’s connection was well-forged from book 1. The gradual way Tiny came to the realization that she’d always loved Joey all along was nicely handled, so it didn’t just come out of nowhere—therefore them finally getting together felt so well-earned and satisfying to me as a reader. Tiny and Joey’s giddiness and happiness at finally being together got me grinning from ear-to-ear, and the way
the author described Tiny’s giddiness was so so so well-done that even I felt giddy too on Tiny’s behalf.

Just a beautiful love story.

I do have one gripe: the whole thing with Sam and Enzo felt anti-climactic. I was expecting there to be more consequences of Tiny choosing to be with Joey, what with the way Enzo’s characterization was set up.

But eh. Whatever. I never really cared about the whole mafia trope anyway—I really only read this book series because this was the precursor to pretty much every book series this author has ever churned out, and I intended to dive into every single one of them.

I'm just not sure if this new adult craze is for me.

I can't express enough how THRILLED I am with this book! I think I loved this story even better than the first! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved Speak Easy, but THIS...sigh. Everything about this book was just so satisfying to me. I thought I knew who I wanted Tiny to end up with in Speak Easy, but my opinion did a total 360 in Speak Low, and I couldn't be happier with how this turned out. All ends were tied up in a nice little bow for me in this book, but I must say, I would LOVE to see more books about the characters in this! I don't want to give away any spoilers and any teasers I give would do that, so just please take my word for it and read this!! This picks up right were Speak Easy left off, so you really need to start with that book before you read this to know what is going on. I am so excited about this author and I love her writing style...I felt like I was in the story right along with all of them! These are two book I definitely see myself re-reading again!

What a fun series! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked Tiny's spunk and how things played out between her, Enzo and Joey. The end felt a little rushed, but I liked getting the rest of the story for so many characters in addition to an epilogue. I can't wait to read more of this author's books!

I literally picked this book immediately after I finished Speak Low, that's how much I couldn't get enough of this series and boy am I sad that it's done now. This series was so real for me and I loved every second of it! Just as good as the first one - the only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars is because it seemed to really lack a plot. It just seemed like a book to tie up the loose ends made in book one, which could have easily been done by making the book longer but I am nooot complaining because I still loved it (: Just as steamy (if not more so!!) than the first and the characters stayed so consistent in this book, which I really liked. In an effort not to give away any spoilers, I really did love how this book ended as it seemed fitting but I wish there was more from the guy she didn't end up with because I liked his presence in the first book and he's almost absent from this book!! My ooonly wishes are that both these books were 100 or so pages longer and that she had other books out because I want more (:
