Dear Future Self: A Starfish Novella
Starfish: A Rock Star Romance, Book 2
By: Lisa Becker
Narrated by: Tim Paige, Kelsey Navarro

Jason comes home to the reading of a will from one of his teachers and meets up with his old best friend, Cami. And the sparks fly. Hurt, miscommunications, lust and just good old history meld these two together in a way that only Lisa Becker can bring out. I was captivated by the two. I loved Jase. He is exactly as I picture a famous rock star, a little full of himself, generous but realizing there is more to life. I love Cami. She is secure in her life, loves being a music teacher and knows her feelings. I loved the Girl Scout, give me a box of thin mints any day, and the Dear Future Self letters. It's so much fun to see your past you! It's a quick listen, it's fun, humorous and a great way to spend a couple of hours!

Tim Paige is a fantastic story teller and he brings all the characters to life. He gives Jase the perfect voice. A little cocky, yet very and makes him very believable. He quickly can change to Cami, and bring her feelings to light. Add in the end with some fun with Kelsey Navarro and this novella rocks it!

I’m not a huge fan of novellas and unfortunately this wasn’t an exception. I really wanted more character development and details about events that happened. I felt like it all moved so fast and I just wanted them to slow down and talk to each other some more. Plus Jace’s personal decisions at the end weren’t what I wanted, but I guess make sense looking back.

Thanks to the author for my ARC to review.

Jace & Cami had been friends in high school. Jace left town & became a famous rockstar. He left every thing behind when he moved to Los Angeles. The death of his high school music teacher brought him back home. Could Jace coming home change everything for him? Not if his manager, Damon has anything to say about it. Loved this sweet friends to lovers story! Highly recommend!

I read and reviewed Starfish when it came out. I loved it and loved the sauciness of the characters. Dear Future Self is a wonderful novella focusing on one of the characters we met in Starfish.

Jase is an singer, one who is doing really well out there in the public world. But when he hears some bad news from his private world, he takes a step back from the public to focus on what he feels is more important.

Once again, Lisa has written an amazingly fun story with characters I would love to know. I love this series and really hope there are more stories to come. I enjoy my immersion into their world.

This is a fun, entertaining, good read. Jason and Cami are intriguing, relatable, entertaining, captivating characters. I love getting to see this side of Jace, whom we met in Starfish. I also love that Brad from the first book made a cameo (I would have loved to have seen more of him). While this is less than 100 pages, Becker packs a lot in the limited number of pages. The story is easy read and get into.

I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrator.

Dear Future Self by Lisa Becker is a rock star romance novella that I listened to on audio narrated by Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro.

This book is a novella spin-off of Starfish: A Rock Star Romance that can be read as a stand-alone.

I absolutely love Lisa’s books! I was so excited to know more of the Kings Quarters bandmates love stories. You can’t help but fall in love with Jason and Cami.

Tim and Kelsey did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this novella to anyone who loves Rock Star Romances, Second Chance Romances, or Contemporary Romance.

Do you have just a little time to read?  Then pick up this novella and get lost in the world of music and romance.

This story picks up after Starfish but can be read on its own.  Granted you might understand a few of the characters and Jase's life if you do read Starfish first, but not required.

Jase finds himself back in his hometown working with his high school crush on a project for a teacher that passed away.  I wonder if the teacher knew that these two belonged together and just needed a nudge in that direction?  Whether that was the teacher's objective or not, it worked.  Jase and Cami become inseparable once again.  But the road to happiness isn't easy as a certain someone tries to come between them, testing their friendship and love for each other.

This is a sweet romantic tale that made me smile, growl at the bad guy, and even made me laugh a time or two.  Definitely worth the read.
