I really enjoyed this book. I was shocked because it wasn't a fast pace story but I believe that if it the story was written in a faster pace it would have taken away from the story

Could not finish. I might return to it someday because I had such high hopes for this book and was so excited, but this book didn't meet my expectations at all. I found the prose hard to work around and the narrator irritating. But the attention to historical detail was nice.

This is an excellent book which brings to life the history of ancient Egypt. It is well-written with evocative descriptions, credible characters and a good plot. Wilbur Smith is a consummate story teller!  Highly recommended.
