I'm sad to say this was quite a disappointment. It started off promising, and I loved most the artwork which had lots of different techniques and sometimes actually looked like fuzzy photographs which was so cool! But as it went on the artwork to text shifted and there was pages upon pages of text. I also really didn't like the gender dynamics, and how most women ended up being literally a type, referred to as by type name and their "ability" was specific to how it impacted men. This was a total blind pick and you never know if that risk will be a reward or not.
So I didn’t actually finish this book. It was really boring, and kind of difficult to follow. I figure that if it takes me a month, and I’m only about half way through a comic, then it’s not worth staying for. I’m not sure why it was even published in the format that it was. I’m sure something outside of the comic book format would have been better for the reading experience.
