What a book. Definitely recommend the audiobook version. I loved the voices and how the humor and sarcasm came through so well in it. It has you belly laughing at some parts and tearing up at others.

I didn't want to like this book...just because I'm a curmudgeon and was in a horror mood, but took a departure to try out a Klune.
And I loved it.
It made me have some SERIOUS feelings, especially towards the end, and it was really lovely. It told a beautiful story; it was actually a great twist on a Scrooge tale and I think I'm already looking forward to reading it again.

There are some things that I loved about this book and some that I didn’t. I loved the overall concept and the classic TJ Klune humor. However, Wallace as a character was never evil enough to be hated as much as he was nor nice enough to be loved as much as he was. He was just kind of static throughout most of the book. And the ending was extremely predictable.
