Now I know why there are so many Wodehouse fans. Hilarious and witty. The stories are similar but not repetitive. The man can spin a metaphor.

"Women are frightfully rummy," he said, gloomily.
"You should have thought of that before you married one," I said.

I believe this book calls for the deployment of the phrase "rousing good fun."

This was a really fun read. It helped to have seen the series on TV that starred Laurie and Fry. Having seen the series, it was so easy to envision them as I read and that made it all the better. I was not a huge fan of the Å–eggie Pepper stories and can appreciate Wodehouse's desire to reinvent with Jeeves and Wooster.

I've read a few of the novels and loved the Jeeves & Wooster tv show, so it was really fun to see how Bertie and Jeeves first met and their adventures in New York. As I'm sure other reviews mentioned, only the first half of this collection is about Bertie Wooster. Fans of the show should know that most of the stories (out of the Bertie lot) have been adapted to episodes so while they're presented differently enough to still be entertaining, the surprise of seeing Jeeves untangle an un-untangable mess is a bit loss when you go in knowing the gist of it. Still a fun, quick read!
